Will someone explain to me the reason for this "over-70s must stay home" edict? Dammit, here we go again with another over-reaction.
COVID-19 may be powerful but I don't believe the virus has AI powers. See, there are those of us who are on the wrong side of 70 but who enjoy good health, we're strong and fit. And there are others who may be less strong, less fit. The latter group outta stay home, sure. But why are the members of the former group automatically linked in with Ontario’s chief medical officer Dr. David Williams' decision that "anyone with a compromised immune system, underlying medical conditions or over age 70" must stay indoors. What? Shame on you! Sorry Dave, but I'm not buying it. Your decree is right up there with closing our 10 acre dog park: madness. I look forward to reading the book (no, I'm not writing it!) that will eventually be written, separating the good ideas from the bad on how we handled the pandemic. For the most part, it’s good (social distancing, hand washing, et al), but then… well, you know where I'm coming from!
